Product Overview
What is Planetary Gear Box?
A planetary gear box includes a sun gear, planetary gears, an inner ring gear and a planetary carrier. The sun gear acts as the central gear in a planetary gear system, receiving rotation from the input shaft. It exerts force on the planetary gears, causing them to rotate. The inner ring gear is fixed, the planetary gears will also revolve along the trajectory of the inner ring gear while being driven by the sun gear. The planetary gear is connected to the output shaft through a planetary carrier, so when the planetary gear rotates and revolves, it will ultimately transmit the rotational force to the output shaft, achieving the effect of deceleration and increasing torque.
Advantages of Planetary Gear Box
- High Torque Density: Due to the compact design, can transfer the maximum amount of torque in a limited space.
- Precise and Stable: Central loading concentration, no lateral pressure on the gear teeth, and the power is transmitted radially.
- Long Service Life: Distribute the load among different gears, decreasing the strain on individual gears.
According to the Application and Technical Requirements, you can choose between Brushed DC Motor and BLDC Motor to drive the Planetary Gear Box.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: How does a planetary gearbox increase torque?
A planetary gearbox utilizes a sun gear that drives planetary gears within a fixed ring gear. This arrangement allows the power to be transmitted through multiple contact points, effectively reducing speed and significantly increasing the output torque through the planetary carrier.
Q2: What are the main benefits of using a planetary gearbox?
Key advantages include high torque density (maximum torque in a compact size), precise and stable power transmission with no lateral pressure on gear teeth, and a long service life due to the load being distributed among several gears.
Q3: Can I choose between different motor types for the gearbox?
Yes. Depending on your specific application and technical needs, you can choose to drive the planetary gearbox with either a Brushed DC Motor or a BLDC (Brushless DC) Motor.
Q4: What customization options are available?
We offer customization for various components including motor shafts, rotation speed, torque ratings, wire configurations, and leads to meet your specific project requirements.
Q5: What internal components ensure the high quality of these motors?
Our motors feature pure copper coils for stable torque, high-quality ball bearings for low noise, grade magnetic arcs for efficiency, and precise hall effect sensors for accurate speed control.
Q6: Are your products certified for international markets?
Yes, our products carry multiple certifications including CCC, VDE, CB, RoHS, and we operate under the ISO9001-2015 quality management system.
